Sentenced for robbery, man commits another robbery that same day: Police

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis man appeared in court Monday afternoon for committing an armed robbery the same day he pleaded guilty to a different robbery.

According to a probable cause statement from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the crime happened on March 28 in the 1500 block of Lafayette Avenue in the city’s McKinley Heights neighborhood.

Police Ramon A. Thompson Jr., 34, pleaded guilty to second-degree robbery in St. Louis County and was sentenced to 15 years in state prison. The judge presiding over the case allowed Thompson to surrender himself to state custody at a later date…
