Feeding Medina County receives semi-truck full of meat from Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

MEDINA — Off-duty Medina firefighters packed Feeding Medina County’s walk-in freezer with boxes of meat on Monday morning, following the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ donation of more than 30,000 pounds of pork roast and ground beef.

The donation followed months of discussion and coordination between the Akron stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Feeding Medina County.

Akron Stake President Quinn Coburn said several members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have worked closely and volunteered at Feeding Medina County, identifying the need for donations to help those in need within the community…
