Clarksville’s Kennedy Lane could be getting a garden center

The Clarksville City Council has approved the first of two readings an ordinance that would rezone a property that would allow for a garden center to be built on the northern end of Kennedy Lane.

The 12.82 piece of property being considered for rezoning is located along the western side of I-24’s edge. It is the street that runs parallel with I-24 and takes a turn in front of the Chick-fil-A and Chipotle restaurants off Wilma Rudolph Boulevard near Exit 4.

David Thompson, the owner of Legacy Nursery and Landscape, is requesting the property be rezoned from its present zone of C-4 – Highway Interchange District to a C-5 – Highway & Arterial Commercial District…
