Lexington County Residents Arrested on Drug and Gun Charges Following I-20 Traffic Stop

Two weeks ago in Lexington County, South Carolina, Jonathon Shockley, 26, and Emily Gomez, 25, were arrested during a traffic stop on Interstate 20. Deputies found 166 grams of fentanyl and a handgun in their vehicle. Shockley was charged with trafficking fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and methamphetamine, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Gomez was charged with trafficking fentanyl and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Police later searched Shockley’s home. They found more drugs, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, prescription medication, marijuana, and suspected opioids. Officers also seized over $76,000 in cash and several firearms. Both Shockley and Gomez were released from the Lexington County…..
