Two 18-year-olds have been arrested on Monday in connection with a shooting involving Riverside County Sheriff’s deputies in Thermal.Authorities say Guillermo Alexander Martinez and Eric Diaz Orozco were booked today on several charges, including attempted murder of a peace officer. Investigators say the shooting happened Friday night near Avenue 70.Deputies report they were responding to a call for shots fired when a vehicle drove past their location and allegedly fired multiple rounds toward them, striking a patrol car. Officials confirm no deputies were injured, and deputies did not return fire.Following the incident, investigators identified Martinez and Orozco as additional suspects connected to the shooting.
