Summerfield woman arrested after battle leaves boyfriend with bleeding head wound

A Summerfield woman was arrested for battery after allegedly throwing a metal cup at her boyfriend’s head during an argument.

A deputy investigating a battery found the boyfriend of 62-year-old Lori Hanlon in the back of an ambulance at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. He had dried blood on the top and side of his head, as well as on his right arm. There was also a fresh laceration, about three quarters of an inch long, on the top of his head.

He advised that he and Hanlon had been dating since 2004, and they had an adult child in common.They were arguing in the kitchen of their shared residence as he tried to pour some Coca-Cola into his metal cup full of ice cubes, which she swatted off the counter. He then left the mess on the floor to go sit in the living room recliner, the report said.

While sitting there, the couple continued to argue over a topic he could not remember. Hanlon suddenly hit him on the top of the head with an unknown object, and the resulting blood pouring from the top of his head prompted him to call the police. He stated this was th eonly time things got physical, and he did not retaliate, the report said…
