Palm Beach fines resident over ‘butchered’ town-protected trees

The Palm Beach Code Enforcement Board has hit a property owner with over $600 in fines and administrative fees after landscapers “butchered” two trees that are part of the town’s Historic and Specimen Tree Program.

The board voted unanimously to levy a $500 fine and $150 administrative fee against the property owner of the estate at 175 Via Palma and directed the owner to work with the town to remediate the violation.
