TARRANT COUNTY, Texas — A two-week pretrial hearing began Monday in the capital murder case against Tanner Horner, accused of killing 7-year-old Athena Strand in November 2022.
The hearing will determine procedural matters and what evidence will be allowed when the case goes to trial in April 2026. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
