NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Two local energy advocacy groups are calling for a temporary ban on electric and gas disconnections for New Orleans residents, citing rising energy and living costs.
The Alliance for Affordable Energy says thousands of households, including those with children and elderly residents, are at risk of losing service.

The Alliance and the Energy Future New Orleans Coalition are urging the New Orleans City Council to enact an emergency order.
