KANSAS CITY, Mo. — New details were announced Monday regarding a racial discrimination lawsuit against the Westport Community Improvement District (CID) and its board members.
Gwen Grant, president and CEO of the Urban League of Greater Kansas City, announced that local civil rights organizations are joining forces with the National Urban League to file an amicus brief in support of the lawsuit filed against the CID.

The lawsuit claims that Black business owners have been discriminated against and ousted from the Westport Entertainment District. An amicus brief will be filed in support of the lawsuit.
