RIVERVIEW, Mo. – The City of Riverview is grappling with a series of hate crimes and vandalism in recent months, according to Mayor Mike Cornell, who says he’s preparing to take the issue to the Attorney General and FBI.
On Sunday, Cornell shared a statement via Facebook informing community members of “alarming KKK and hate-related markings” targeting city property over the past six months. He said the city would respond by increasing patrols and taking “proactive measures.”
