Carson City authorities are investigating human remains found along the Carson River on Friday, Dec. 5, near Trainwreck Rapids in Brunswick Canyon.
Park rangers secured the scene for sheriff’s detectives, who returned Saturday with Carson City Search and Rescue to recover remains, clothing and other items.
Artifacts at the site led investigators to believe the remains may belong to Robert Lawson White, a kayaker who went missing in June 2023 while boating the river. White disappeared the same day as another kayaker, James Martin, whose body was recovered later that summer…
