CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Good morning. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for much of the region, with a Winter Storm Warning for Buckingham county until 5 pm. Light snow will begin this morning through mid afternoon. Later in the day light snow showers will gradually end by the evening. 1″-3″ of snow will be possible, 3″-5″ across southern counties like Buckingham into the metro Richmond area. Arctic air will filter into the region tonight, dropping temperatures into the teens. Be careful venturing outdoors. Watch for icy roads, sidewalks, driveways, and steps. Temperatures will gradually warm by the middle of the week. Have a great and safe day !
