MICHIGAN — Police in Royal Oak are investigating a violent case of road rage that escalated into a stabbing earlier this week near 13 Mile Road and Greenfield, leaving an 18-year-old driver injured and a suspect now in custody.
According to law enforcement officials, the confrontation began after an aggressive driving exchange between two motorists, which included a brake check and a middle-finger gesture. What started as a heated traffic encounter quickly spiraled into a dangerous physical altercation.
Altercation Captured on Video
Video footage reviewed by investigators shows the suspect shouting at the victim, “You want to f**ing cut me off?*” moments before the altercation turned violent. The confrontation escalated when the suspect reportedly pulled out a knife and slashed the victim above his eye.
The victim later told police that the suspect had stepped out of his vehicle during the argument and attacked him, causing a deep cut just above the eye. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
