Hall family’s roots run deep at Babcock Ranch

After relocating between North Carolina and California, Virginia was supposed to be where Aimee and Rob Hall finally planted their roots. They had just built their dream home in a lakeside community of 60 homes with beautiful natural scenery, wooded lots, trails, canoes, kayaks and a large stone fire pit picturesquely encircled by Adirondack chairs. The adoption of their two children, brother and sister Josh and Ciara, was finalized, and they looked forward to spending family time enjoying the outdoors and meeting the neighborhood kids.

“It was the end of 2019, and everything seemed perfect,” said Aimee, never imagining just months later the world would be facing the unprecedented challenges of a global pandemic. The neighborhood families kept mostly to themselves, and Josh and Ciara were lonely, longing to make new friends. But Aimee had a plan — and her parents and Southwest Florida were the answer…
