A Maryville Police officer has been put on administrative leave after being arrested and charged with domestic assault.
On Friday, Dec. 5, Alcoa Police officers responded to a domestic assault call. When they arrived, a 46-year-old Alcoa woman who claimed to be the girlfriend of Reid Gray Walker, 35, told officers that Walker had assaulted her.According to the report, the woman said that it was typical behavior when Walker was drinking alcohol, telling officers there were prior incidents where Walker pushed her and “placed his hands around her neck.”
The woman told officers that she and Walker had been at Bluetick Tavern, spending time with friends. Walker, she said, went to use the restroom, and when he returned, a friend told her Walker was ready to leave…
