Woman arrested after pair hospitalized in Kingsessing stabbing

A man and woman were hospitalized after, police say, they were stabbed by a woman in an attack that happened early Monday in Philly’s Kingsessing neighborhood.

According to police, 39-year-old Nyeemia Maxey was arrested after she was found in a home along the 100 block of South Ruby Street where a man and woman had been stabbed at about 12:06 a.m. on Monday.

Officials said officers responding to a report of a stabbing found a man — who police did not immediately provide further identifying information on — who has been stabbed on the chest on the second floor of the property.
