LOMBARD, Ill. (WGN) –A Chicago man who robbed a Lombard tobacco shop at gunpoint in 2022 that led to the shooting of a Lombard police officer has been sentenced to 33 years in prison.
The DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office said 34-year-old Anthony Brown was sentenced Tuesday morning to 33 years on an aggravated battery – discharge of a firearm at an officer charge, and 21 years on an armed robbery with a firearm charge.
The aggravated battery – discharge of a firearm at an officer charge will be served at 85%, while the armed robbery with a firearm charge will be served at 50%; both sentences will run concurrently.
