THREE RIVERS, Mich. — A solar and battery storage project in Fabius Township, St. Joseph County, is moving closer to approval despite mixed response from the community.
The Fabius Township Planning Commission on Tuesday night reviewed a special land use application, aimed at building a large commercial solar array and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on agricultural land designated as a Solar Overlay District within the township.
