CLINTON, Tenn. (WATE) — An employee at the Head Start/Pre-K school location in Clinton is under investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, according to Anderson County Schools.
The district confirmed it’s cooperating fully with federal authorities but said the investigation is focused on activities outside of school. Officials stress there is no reason to believe any students were victimized.

“We understand this news may be upsetting and may indeed raise questions. Please know that the safety, wellbeing, and security of our students remains – and will always remain – our highest priority,” wrote Ryan Sutton, communications/PR coordinator for Anderson County Schools, in a letter to parents.
Out of caution, the employee has been suspended while the matter is pending. The district says student safety remains its top priority and promises updates when more information can be shared.
