MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The City of Memphis is handing out $600,000 in grant money to 34 nonprofit organizations committed to preventing and interrupting crime in the city.
“Every one of these organizations helps make our neighborhoods safer and stronger,” said Mayor Paul Young. “Their work supports people in critical moments and helps Memphis rise toward greater stability and peace.”
It’s part of the Safer Communities grant. Each organization receiving the grant will participate in “structured training, data reporting, and citywide convenings to ensure transparency, accountability, and measurable impact.”…
