Michigan native, true crime TV producer stole $30M as fake heiress in California, FBI says

SANTA ANA, Calif. — A woman originally from Michigan has been added to the FBI’s Most Wanted list for allegedly pretending to be a wealthy heiress and stealing about $30 million from lenders, according to a news release from federal investigators.

Mary Carole McDonnell, 73, who is the former chief executive at Bellum Entertainment in California, is wanted for her alleged involvement in a fraud scheme in Los Angeles and Orange counties, the FBI said.
