On December 9, a true crime report arrived online, and it examined a terrifying incident that took place in Pace, Florida, and sadly, it involved the death of a 14-year-old girl named Danica Troy. She’s been reported as a runaway, but it turned out the story is very much darker than that. Read on for more details.
Recapping The Case
Local authorities were cited by Chris Stewart, on the Law&Crime Network on YouTube. Referring to various documents and folks who talked about the case, Stewart recapped what was known. He pointed out that there are suspects in the case, and allegedly, two classmates were involved in a murder.
Allegedly, two teens, a14-year-old and a 16-year-old, were identified by the police. As per information available, the two individuals convinced Danica to follow them to the forest on November 30. There, it’s believed, they shot her several times. After that, they set fire to her body. Sheriff Bob Johnson said it was the most horrible crime scene he’d ever come across.
The Motive Is Unknown
Apparently, the younger suspect, Kamari Blevens might have hinted about the crime to another person. “He and Gabriel Williams planned the murder of Danica,” that person said. Meanwhile, the older suspect, Gabriel Williams, allegedly told the investigating officers that Danica Troy said nasty things about him.
While the crime details seem known, the biggest issue seems to be the motive. Sheriff Johnson spoke about it, noting, “There’s not right now a clear motive.” Additionally, he claimed that the story the two suspects came up with didn’t fit the forensic facts of the case.
Pushing To Try Them As Adults
Clearly shocked by the terrifying true crime incident, Bob Johnson also vowed to push to have the two boys tried as adults. “You’re doing adult crime, you need to do adult time,” Johnson said. Notably, the one suspect was interviewed in a patrol car, but he clammed up pretty quick and asked for a lawyer.
At the same time, Ashley Troy, Danica’s mother, told a different version of the story to the press. She theorized that her daughter had a massive crush on one of the boys, and would have done anything for him. So, she believes he lured her to her death, while pretending to love her. Notably, and very sadly, she told the media that her daughter, Danica Troy was just looking to “be in love for Christmas.”
Mom Claims She Doesn’t Hate The Suspects
At the end of the day, and rather incredibly, Ashley Troy doesn’t hate the teens who allegedly killed her daughter. Instead, she said that she blames the influence of evil in the world. “I don’t hate them. I hate what they did to my baby,” she said…
