MVP holds public meeting about proposed compressor station in Virginia

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – MVP Boost is a proposed project to expand the Mountain Valley Pipeline’s capacity, adding compression at three existing compressor stations in West Virginia and building a new compressor station on MVP’s land in Montgomery County.

Those stations would allow the pipeline to funnel more fuel, something spokesperson Shawn Day says is in demand.

“We had a lot of interest in additional capacity on the MVP mainline system, so the MVP Boost project is designed to leverage that existing infrastructure, minimize impacts, and increase capacity,” he said…
