Savannah, GA (WSAV) – Many of us may be familiar with the beloved holiday classic– “Miracle on 34th Street.”At the heart of the movie, the belief that ” Christmas isn’t just a day, it’s a frame of mind.”For the past 45 years, Savannah’s West Broad Street YMCA has embodied this principal by taking care of the community during the holiday season through an initiative it calls, “Miracle on May Street”.Trenia Thomas is the agency’s Program Manager. She sat down with WSAV’s Kim Gusby to talk about the initiative, its impact, and importance.
