DANVILLE, Ill. (WICS) — Another man has been arrested as a suspect in a fatal shooting that took place at Scooters Bar in Danville.
Danville police have apprehended Jontell J. Robinson, a 30-year-old from Chicago, in connection with a fatal shooting at Scooters Bar on Nov. 29, 2025. Robinson was wanted on an outstanding warrant for first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. He also faced a separate parole warrant from the Illinois Department of Corrections. Officers from the Problem Oriented Policing Unit recognized Robinson and pursued him on foot after he fled. He was captured approximately five minutes later as he attempted to hide in a nearby tree line. Robinson was taken into custody and transported to the Public Safety Building for processing.
The incident at Scooters Bar, located at 1114 E. Voorhees St., occurred at approximately 1:26 a.m. when Danville police responded to a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found a 30-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound, who was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. Shortly after, a second male arrived at the OSF Emergency Room with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
