URBANDALE, Iowa (WOI) – The Urbandale Community School District school board is discussing anti-bullying efforts after Urbandale High School student Miles Phipps died by suicide last month. His family says he was bullied at school, WOI reports.
At a meeting, the Urbandale district said it already has a tight protocol for bullying, but plans to implement lessons that teach students about conflict resolution, responding to bullying, emotional regulation and other skills.
