BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Louisiana school officials say conversations about campus safety have changed dramatically since the Columbine shooting, with administrators now preparing for worst-case scenarios every school day.
Speaking in front of the K-12 School Safety Task Force, Jennifer Gardner, assistant superintendent for Lafayette Parish Schools, said her career trajectory shifted after exposure to security incidents at home and nationally.
