PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Police in Prince William County are searching for a suspect after a confrontation at a home.
On Tuesday, Dec. 9, around 11:35 p.m., officers responded to a home after a call for shots fired. A homeowner in the 17200 block of Wexford Loop in Dumfries confronted a man on his property after believing the suspect was attempting to steal from his vehicle, where he had left his keys, according to police.

During the confrontation, a gunshot was believed to have been heard, although police didn’t find evidence of a shooting site. The suspect then took off on foot.
No injuries were reported, and the victim’s keys were not found…
