Blaze extinguished at Asheville Christian Academy, no injuries reported: fire officials

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — The Buncombe County Fire Marshal is currently investigating a fire that occurred at Asheville Christian Academy.

According to Swannanoa Fire & Rescue, the department responded to a call that reported smoke coming from Asheville Christian Academy’s maintenance building.

Crews arrived on scene at 2:16 p.m., stopping the fire within five minutes.

According to the Swannanoa fire chief, Asheville Christian Academy maintenance workers said the building contained gasoline and fertilizer, and that the Swannanoa fire department moved the fertilizer away from where the fire was in the building…
