BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A Kern County jury hung on assault and threats charges in connection with a confrontation at a park in Oildale, according to the Public Defender’s Office.
Additionally, the jury last week found Felix Abel Gutierrez not guilty of being a felon in possession of a gun and exhibiting a deadly weapon other than a gun. It found him guilty of misdemeanor battery.
Gutierrez faced more than 19 years in prison if convicted as charged, according to a Public Defender’s Office release. The case returns to court next year for a possible retrial on the hung counts…
