On December 9, 2025, the Kern County Board of Supervisors held a regular meeting in Bakersfield, California. All five supervisors—Phillip Peters, Chris Parlier, Jeff Flores, David Couch, and Chairwoman Leticia Perez—attended. They discussed several agenda items affecting county residents and services.
The Board adopted resolutions to recognize two retiring county employees. Deputy Probation Officer Lilia Sanchez and Mark McAlister from the Department of Human Services were each acknowledged for 28 years of service. The Board also gave Certificates of Recognition to the Bakersfield Sikh Women’s Association and Gilbert Juarez, also known as Mr. Dimples, for their contributions to the CAPK Food Drive.
