RED SPRINGS — A woman was arrested Wednesday in connection with a fatal hit-and-run that occured early Wednesday morning in Red Springs.
Kenda Brooke Hunt was charged with felony death by vehicle, failure to reduce speed and failure to report an accident. She was issued a secured bond.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:22 a.m. on the 400 block of South Main Street. A preliminary investigation indicates that Marjorie McNeill, 72, of Red Springs, was crossing the street when she was struck by a white SUV.
