SELMA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – $3 million is being invested into beautifying a Selma highway corridor that includes a gateway monument and other upgrades.
City officials say the Selma Highway 99 and Second Street Gateway Enhancement Project will revitalize the Second Street corridor from the southbound Highway 99 off-ramp to just before West Front Street.
In part, the city says the project will improve sidewalks and curb ramps and add new Chinese Pistache trees, trash receptacles, and benches near Berry Park. Downtown Selma will also come to life with a new pylon monument, decorative crosswalks, and solar lighting to replace old streetlights…
