BEDFORD, Va. (WSET) — The Bedford Police Department is sounding the alarm on an energy scam that’s hitting the Bedford community.
Captain Robert Kimbrel with BPD said scammers are calling residents, and have even shown up at homes, saying they’re partnering with local electric companies and promise to lower their rates. He said they’re offering solar panels or ‘energy saving programs.’
