Loaded ghost gun found on driver who provided fake ID, CHP Santa Rosa says

(KRON) — A routine traffic stop led to much more after a loaded ghost gun was discovered when a driver was pulled over for having tinted windows, the California Highway Patrol Santa Rosa area office said.

The incident happened on Highway 116 in Guerneville near Neely Road, CHP confirmed in a social media post Wednesday but did not provide an exact date and time. CHP said the driver then provided a fake identification to officers.

CHP Santa Rosa said the man was carrying a “loaded, unregistered and unserialized ‘ghost gun’ equipped with a high-capacity magazine concealed in his waistband.’”

The man, who was not identified by CHP, was arrested and faces several felony charges, including possession of a ghost gun and carrying a concealed weapon…
