Shots were fired at two on-duty Cook County Sheriff’s deputies outside Mount Sinai Hospital on Chicago’s West Side on Wednesday morning.
The Cook County Sheriff’s Office confirmed no injuries were reported after shots were fired at the deputies after 1 a.m. The sheriff’s office initially said the deputies were off duty at the time, but later said they were on duty and on their way back to Cook County Jail after an assignment at the hospital.
According to Chicago police, the victims, a 27-year-old man and a 28-year-old man, were driving in the 1500 block of South California Boulevard when someone inside a silver sedan fired shots from the passenger side…
