St. Paul City Council approves investigation into police use-of-force on protesters

The St. Paul City Council on Wednesday approved an investigation into city police officers’ use-of-force on protesters during a recent federal immigration operation.

Federal agents were spotted detaining a man in the Payne-Phalen neighborhood on Nov. 25. St. Paul Police responded when protesters reportedly broke through a perimeter, reportedly carrying rocks and sticks, according to Police Chief Axel Henry.
