Weld County, CO – Police Alert: K9 Creed Awarded New Bullet-Resistant Vest

Greeley, CO – A Weld County Sheriff’s Office K9 will soon receive upgraded safety equipment as part of a nationwide donation program supporting law enforcement dogs. K9 Creed is set to receive a custom-fitted bullet- and stab-protective vest provided by the nonprofit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., the agency announced Wednesday. Delivery is expected within ten weeks.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the vest was sponsored by Lorraine Ferri of Tallahassee, FL, and will be embroidered with the message, “Born to Love—Trained to Serve—Loyal Always.” The specialized armor is designed to offer additional protection to K9 officers who assist with patrol, tracking, detection, and high-risk operations…
