The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District (TMFPD) is mourning the unexpected passing of one of its own. Battalion chief Ryan Rizzuto, a respected leader and longtime member of the district, passed away Sunday night while off duty.
In a statement, TMFPD shared that the news has deeply shaken the organization. “Our entire TMFPD family is grieving this unexpected loss,” the district said, emphasizing the profound impact Chief Rizzuto had on colleagues and the community he served.
