Rain/snow Wednesday with some light accumulation in the Poconos
Arctic air in place lead to some record low temperatures early this morning. Mount Pocono temperatures plummeted to -4 degrees beating the old record of -1 and Allentown came close to tying a record, dropping to 8 degrees. The old record for ABE was 7 degrees. Ahead of the next area of low pressure temperatures will climb a little bit to where highs will grow to the middle and upper 30s. We’ll be watching a clipper system Wednesday which will bring some rain mixing with snow for the heart of our area. Little to no accumulation is expected; however, in the Poconos where mainly snow will fall, expect light accumulations up to 2 inches. Some locally higher amounts are possible in the higher elevations……
