Albany man accused of robbing store at gunpoint faces multiple charges

A 42-year-old man has been charged after allegedly robbing a convenience store at gunpoint in Albany.

Joseph Johnson Jr. was arraigned on charges including Robbery in the First Degree and multiple counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon. The incident occurred Oct. 23 at the Nice and Easy Food Mart on Central Avenue.

Johnson allegedly used a handgun to threaten a clerk and stole marijuana worth $500. Albany Police used video evidence to obtain a search warrant for his residence…
