Help shape the future of Asheville’s forests

For the first time ever, the City of Asheville is developing an Urban Forest Master Plan — and your input is needed.

Through an online survey, the public can help shape the plan, which will determine the scope, management and protection of the tree canopy across the city’s various neighborhoods for decades to come.

“Asheville’s urban forest is integral to the quality of life, environmental health and beauty of our region,” said Keith Aitken, Urban Forester with the City’s Planning and Urban Design department. “This survey is an opportunity for everyone in our community to share their voice and help shape the vision for our green canopy.”…
