Indiana State Rep. received ‘pipe bomb threat’ Wednesday

CLINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Indiana State police responded to the home of State Representative Tim Yocum (R-Clinton) after the legislator received a “pipe bomb threat,” according to a news release from Rep. Yocum.

“Yesterday, my family and I received a death threat, adding to a number of such incidents happening to legislators across the state. I want to thank the Indiana State Police for their swift and professional response in ensuring the safety of myself and my family. I’m also grateful to the Vermillion County Sheriff’s Department for their support. These kinds of threats of violence are never acceptable, and I wholeheartedly condemn them,” he said in the statement.
