High School: Then Vs Now

High school is one of the most transformative periods of one’s life. Some people look back at their high school years fondly, while others see those years of their life as exhausting, turbulent and irrelevant to the people they eventually become. Throughout the years high school has changed quite a bit, from teaching philosophy to mischief and trends.

“The first key difference is a lot of vapes instead of cigarettes,” said American History teacher Paul Tarrasco, who graduated from high school in 2002. “When you would go to the bathroom, it used to be cigarette smell, now it’s vape smell.”

“The second difference is computers,” he adds. “We had to take typing classes in high school just to see how fast we can type. Now, you guys are just getting Chromebooks.”…
