Starting December 10, 2025, the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will temporarily detour Route 3. This change is due to sewer repair work on 36th Street between Davidson Street and North Tryon Street. Several stops will not be served during this time. These stops are 60397, 60398, 60393, 60394, 18570, 18540, 18550, and 18520.
Riders who need access to the 36th Street Station should use the stops at Davidson and 36th Street. Riders traveling toward Albemarle Park and Ride can use stop 17660. Those going toward Centre and Kentucky should use stop 17640. For other route options, riders can use the CATS-Pass app or call customer service at 704-366-7433.
