Walmart and Sam’s Club are making eye care faster and easier in Pennsylvania. They’ve launched Eyebot automated vision-testing kiosks at 16 locations across the state. These kiosks provide eyeglass prescriptions in about 15 minutes, offering a quick and affordable option for customers. Walmart charges a $25 fee, while Sam’s Club members get the service included with their membership.
This is Eyebot’s first pilot program with Walmart, and Pennsylvania is the only state testing the technology. The kiosks use advanced software to deliver accurate results, which are reviewed by licensed eye doctors. The goal is to improve access to vision care, especially in rural areas where optometrists are scarce.
