Allen County Casino Senate Bill Clears Committee; Miami Tribe Says No Casino at Its Fort Wayne Land

In the ongoing saga to bring a casino to Allen County, Indiana, Senate Bill 70, which would relocate a casino in southeast Indiana, was passed by a senate committee. Various Allen County leaders appeared before the committee, and Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker mentioned the chance of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma opening a casino on land it owns in Fort Wayne. But, Chief Douglas Lankford (long “A”) said the tribe has no plans to open a casino on its land.
