LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Thursday night meeting at RISE STEM Academy for Girls drew a packed crowd and lots of questions.
With a new building for the all-girls STEM school under construction on Versailles Road and the school board filing for eminent domain connected to that project, the biggest concern was who would learn there.
“I think they should get a say if they want boys to come and know how they’re feeling about it. And I think their parents should too,” one student said to FCPS Superintendent Dr. Demetrus Liggins.
