APOPKA, Fla. — More than 100 retirees in the city of Apopka are seeing changes in their pension plan payments.
Last August, city officials said they had received additional information from the city’s pension program management company, Empower, regarding the pension plan adjustments. It said the calculation methodology was revised to ensure greater consistency and accuracy going forward.
But in the meantime, the affected 106 retirees, with 44 experiencing a decrease in their pensions and 62 seeing an increase, have not gotten answers on the changes…
